How do you get iTunes to recognise author tag

How do you get iTunes to recognise author tag

I have a podcast which works correctly except the title on itunes lists it as "Design by Design by Unknown".

I understood that the author in the listing came from the itunes author tag in the channel section of the xml feed. But this is correct AFAIK. Or does the author part of the listing get added when the podcast is set up.

I can find little information on the various websites. How do I change this???

This is what the first few lines look like:

You have a paragraph return each side of the 'iTunes declaration' - the URL in the third line: this tells iTunes how to interpret the tags beginning with 'itunes:' . The returns are scrambling the URL so that iTunes cannot read the 'itunes:author' tag.
