Which device did photo originate from, tag?

Now that I have photos stored on my iCloud to free up space there is no way of knowing which device took the photo (I have 2 using the same iCloud account and my photo collection show pictures from both devices ). Is there a way of finding out?

If you install the ViewEXIF photo editing extension, on your iOS devices, you can select a photo and open ViewExif from the Share menu.

This extension will show you the camera make and camera model, the lens, and other EXIF tags of the photo. If your two devices are different models, for example an iPad and an iPhone, you will see it in the EXIF data.

Do you have a Mac as well? If your photos are syncing with iCloud Photos Library, you can easily create a smart album in Photos on a Mac with the rule "Camera Model is ..." and then add all photos from the smart album for each device to a standard album. The standard albums will sync with iCloud Photos to your mobile devices and you could have two albums with photos for each device. It is a pity that Photos iOS does not (yet) support smart albums.
