iDVD save as disc image fails

Hello,

I have been trying to create a DVD and have been attempting to save as disc image repeatedly to ensure the coding is good. I followed recommended steps via this post as I was having trouble with the asset encoding process. I can't tell if it helped or not as every time I create a disc image it doesn't ever play correctly. I know it hasn't worked when the thumbnails shows as a picture of the HD and not a picture from the project. I shared all my videos as 540 and at low quality, then when I add them to the iDVD project I don't change or customize anything. And I am still having failed disc images. Thanks for help!!

Thanks Old Toad! I had an RW disc in which I always do a test write to first and it was interfering with the file playing on its own. A side question if I may: Is there no program out there to support HD DVD projects for Mac? I hate to lose the video quality which we now have the capability to record...

Do you have any videos/movie files in the project? If so have any of them been edited after having been added to the project? If that's the case you need to create a new project file and start over from the beginning.

Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing in regards to the thumbnails?

If you get that file then the encoding should be successful and you should have a working disk image of your iDVD project. What happens when you double click on the .img file? Does it open? If it does then launch DVD Player and see if it will play.

With it open like that just launch DVD Player and hit the play button.

When I double click on the file it opens and shows the Audio_TS folder and Video_TS folder. I can't figure out how to get it to play to test it.

But then I never looked for that feature as I don't make HD movie files. I stick to the standard 480p. They may be out there I'm just not aware of any.

Yes I have movies in the project, no changes whatsoever after adding to project.
