Finder / Folder Content not refreshing when copying and creating files.

This seems to be a new issue since upgrading to Mojave:

When I move a large number of photos from one folder to another folder, Finder does not refresh the content in either folder! This happens on the local APFS Fusion Drive of a 2017 iMac 5k.

Also ... I use a couple of different programs (from the App Store) to create mosaic photos and time lapse movies. The folders where these newly created images and movies are stored are not updated in Finder, either.

I can clearly see all changes instantly when using ls -al in Terminal. So the files are there!

I have to use " > Force Quit ... > Finder > Relaunch" to force the content to refresh in Finder.

This is getting annoying. Any idea how to set Finder to refresh automatically WITHOUT relaunching it?

(Actually, I have made a small App with Automator to refresh contents of Network folder (a known issue), but why would I need to do that on the local hard drive?!)

Thanks for your input, I'll try anything if it resolves this issue coming up thrice daily (like today) during intense workflows - when you really don't want to interrupt what you're doing and close all your Finder tabs and windows for a relaunch.

Generally speaking we need a REAL fix though, how can a bug of that severity even be allowed to happen? Moving and downloading folders and them not showing up AT ALL, not even when opening new windows or tabs. Only relieved through brutal 'Force quit' relaunches, several times a day...

I just submitted a bug report via Mojave's Beta Feedback Assistant installed on my Mac (even though I'm on the normal release channel now I feel maybe the beta software messed something up internally?) after 2 bug reports already on Finder since Mojave / High Sierra 'upgrade'. got exactly the same issue since two days. incredible apple did not fix this in two months. relaunching finder helps, but is annoying.

Same issue with a MBP TB 2016.

I could not find on the internet any other solution or any announcement for a fix from Apple.

Same comment than all of you : very annoying !!!

Same problem here with Mojave, Mid 2015 15" Macbook Pro. A laptop that costs 1500euros and can't properly update/display the files in the Finder application... This is ridiculous!!!

If you open the folder and then close it, then it refreshes and shows the number of files in the folder. This is a ridiculous bug that Apple needs to fix ASAP.

That didn't work for me. I ended up deleting the plist file (per above) and force quitting finder. Then I was good. This is a brand new Mac mini with not many files as I am new to macOS.

What I posted was not a permanent fix, but an immediate "check" on that one instance of moving the files.

This is getting too old for comfort. Plus I've noticed that if I drag a file to a folder in the Finder, the folder doesn't always show that it's the target for the drag and drop.
