Image Capture not working

Hello!
Since I upgrade to MOJAVE, my image capture is not working. It opens the window, shows my digital camera, but doesn't appear any image on the SD card.

Any help?

Ok this is a great thread and I think that thanks to DuKe1776 I found what the problem/bug actually is:

It has to do with the preview mode of both Image Capture or Preview.

If you open Image capture and switch the preview mode to list instead of thumbnails it works as it should i.e. you can drag, multi-select with shift, properly import etc.

The option is on the bottom left of the main screen (excluding the sidebar) - pardon my dark mode:

If you have thumbnails selected it wont work for Preview either. The difference is hat the default for Image Capture is thumbnails but for Preview the default is list.

Hope I helped and maybe someone should report this bug to Apple in order for them to have a more specific scope.

I have this problem as well and it is majorly annoying. I don't want to use Photos because I do not want to create a library of photos on my Mac. I keep all of my photos on a separate hard drive. I use Photoshop et all to keep track of, edit and finish my photos. I resent the **** out of Apple trying to force me to use one of their lesser products.

Is there some switch to turn off whatever is causing the problem in Mohave? I assume it probably has to do with some new feature.

AFAICT, Image Capture is working. There are a few glitches in Icon View, but selection is NOT one of them.

As I have explained in other occasions, Shift-click works differently in Icon View and List View.

This is NOT a bug. Just try it in the Finder:

A is selected; Shift-click on F adds JUST F to the selection:

With the addition of List View in Mac OS X, Shift-click gained a new behavior, of selecting everything in between - but that NEVER was the behavior in Icon View.

I LOVED Image Capture. The update to Mojave has changed how it works on the MacBook Pro 2017 I use. I was used to launching Image Capture and then selecting an image, holding shift and then selecting the rest of the images in the group. Now, I need to select each one. I do agree with WebPain about selecting in list mode; however, that is not as quick and dirty as it was. Of course, I had to set the path to the location where I wanted the images to go. That does not have seemed to change. I hope it will become easier to use at some point again. Thanks for the help!

Good to know about Airdrop - I was losing pictures thinking I'd transferring them because the phone said they'd been transferred, and so deleting them. Only to find they were gone forever, only the first few were copied.

Apple should hire some software engineers. I know they're expensive, but with professional help Apple software could be a contender instead of a joke.
