touching screen on For You knocks me back to home screen. Not able to “see all” or enlarge or select which photo want to view

Problem started after os 12 update on 7plus iPhone.
What device? What OS version?
What event occurred prior to the onset of this issue? (update OS, for example)
Restart did not help. But thanks.
