removing an old Apple ID?
I changed my email, in so changed my Apple ID. My iPad keeps asking for my password on the old ID but when I try to sign in it says that ID doesn’t exist. Is there any way to remove it?

See What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support. Perhaps you've missed some of the advice there.

I'm not entirely clear if you made a new ID, or changed the email address associated with the original one. If you have a new ID then you likely have apps tied to the old ID, and you'll be prompted for its password if there are updates. The password should continue to work even if you can no longer receive email at that address. That assumes there are no issues with the account that you're not getting notified about.

Look at the purchase history of your current ID. Process of elimination.

I get a message under general settings to update my Apple password or some items won’t work on the old ID and sometimes the new one. The new one I can clear. The old ID doesn’t work and that email is no longer in service.
Correct. But how do I tell which items/apps are connected with the old ID?
