My iphone x will not sync to my 2011 Macbook pro (high sierra). When I plug in the iphone to the computer it will charge but it won’t show up in itunes, or show me the message to trust the computer. I tried everything i could find online but haven’t been able to get it to work. My phone and computer are updated. My iphone 7 plus syncs to the mac just fine and I tried plugging my Iphone X into a d mac and it also worked. Please help!!!
Download the current 12.8 installer for iTunes from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
Unlock your iOS device and connect it to USB.
Install iTunes from the .dmg that you've downloaded.
During the installation it should announce that a further software update is required.
Install that and iTunes should see your device.
