Phantom Settings notification badge

Hi,

I recently updated to IOS 12.0.1 (iPhone 6S) and since then, I've had a 'phantom' badge notification on the Settings icon. Initially, it advised that my iCloud storage was nearly full, which was incorrect; I have nearly 199 GB left. Now, that message has disappeared, but there is still a badge notification on the Settings icon which reads '1'. I have searched through all of the various options via Settings and can find no trace of an issue.

A phone restart has not resolved the issue.

Any ideas?

Hi Reg-Dent! There was a thread on this just a few days ago, and among various suggestions as to what to do my answer was marked as "solved"by the poster. Here's the link to the thread, and I'm pretty sure that something there will help you get rid of the "phantom" badge notification! Regards, Ian.

I followed the link mentioned above, but it didn't resolve the issue for me. In the end, I just activated two-factor verification and the red badge went away.
