MacBook Air delete button not workibg

Out of nowhere, yesterday my delete button will not work. I restart, it works for a minute or 2 then it’s stops again. I am unsure as to what is wrong. Nothing has happened, it is in the same place all the time, no other users.

Cant find anything online to support this challenge so I am assuming it is a rare one. Any help would be amazing.
