Unable to download Presonus thunderbolt interface

Cannot get the above interphase to fully connect all necessary outputs. I suspect High sierra is blocking certain parts of the installation download, I am unable to affect this, please advise how to FIX this frustrating problem.

platypus10, first of all, before you proceed with further questions, download and read the manual for your interface here: https://pae-web.presonusmusic.com/downloads/products/pdf/Quantum-series_Owners_M anual_EN-14122017.pdf

Secondly, octopi meant for you to visit this page: https://www.presonus.com/products/Quantum/downloads

On this page you can select your macOS version (red arrow on the screenshot), then click on the link below to show all available downloads for your version of macOS (orange arrow). You may see the most recent version on top (blue arrow) and earlier versions below (green arrows). Cheers!

What Quantum interface is it?

On the Presonus site it says: WARNING: Users of Studio 192, Studio 192 Mobile and ATOM devices should NOT use Universal Control 2.9.1 and should use UC 2.8 until further notice.

So maybe try an older (but still High Sierra compatible) driver. MAke sure you completely uninstall any drivers you currently have.

platypus10, so have you downloaded and READ the user manual for your interface? From what you describe above, the issue is not with the driver nor Logic, since you can get the sound play back from "MAIN OUTS". The only thing that could be concluded is that you DON'T KNOW how to operate your interface. So my first suggestion remains, read the manual, please. To be more specific, read Mac related sections on pp. 10 to 21.

platypus10, I'm sorry you feel this way. However, this is obviously not a Logic issue. You have mentioned yourself that the interface outputs sound through main outs. It means the installed driver works. The problem is your lack of familiarity with the device and its configuration, and the best solution known to man in such a case is to read the manual 🙂 So good luck reading, and if you have further questions, feel free to ask.

Hi I have the Quantum Thunderbolt interphase unit, 26x32 - 192 kHz.

Please understand I am not very experienced in the installations etc.....! Therefore when you suggest trying an older High Sierra driver, I am lost. No kidding! Had this thin since June this year and can only get inputs and main outs working, I have a Presonus HP60 sitting dormant also.

Hi again, many thanks, but...

unfortunately, my quantum is still not allowing any external OUTS, except MAIN OUTS. Even after following your most recent post.

I am getting pretty fed-up to say the least.

Any other ideas, except I remember not long after I purchased the iMAc I was needing apple help and during the attempted fix, I happened to mention that my copy of Logic Pro X was not included in the sale of the iMAC and was an add-on, and apparently this did have quite an effect to my original problem, which was purely iMAC based and Not to do with plug-ins, as i am experiencing now.

Just thought this may be worth mentioning to you??

Probably clutching at straws here, but what the ****......
