Unusual behavior after upgrading to Mojave 10.14

Just upgraded my desktop MAC to Mojave 10.14 and the functions are delayed, for instance scanning, accessing files are delayed in Finder, actually every operation from searching on the internet with Safari to looking for files in Finder. It seems like there is a bug. ANyone experiencing similar issues?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Greetings, robertsong.

I see that your iMac has slowed down since you upgraded to macOS Mojave. I'm happy to help.

How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac -- Reset the System Management Controller. Follow the steps under "How to reset the SMC on Mac desktop computers". Test the issue once you're back to the desktop.

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac -- If resetting the SMC didn't resolve the issue, restart your Mac in safe mode and test how it responds. Afterwards, reboot normally and log into your own user account. Remember this when booting in safe mode: Graphics performance limited in macOS Recovery, safe mode, or Guest User mode

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac -- If the issue is also happening in safe mode, use this article to create and test a new user account. This will demonstrate if the issue is isolated to your account, or if its system wide.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!

I've been having issues as well, I thought my computer had a virus or something and Ive had experience with identifying and removing viruses from my mac before. Since the update Ive been unable to import photos from my iPhone to either the Photos App or Lightroom. Ive also noticed that browsers and other apps have been performing poorly and slowly. Another example is I was just on youtube using Safari and the video loaded in the window but the rest of the page was blank with gray areas for where the normal icons and such would be. Definitely seems like the bungled something. Im on a 2017 15 inch MacBook pro so should be no issues.
