Safari on Mac OS 10.14 is slow in YouTube and Udemy

I like to use Safari and it's been my main browser since i bought my MBP a year ago. Unfortunately since very recently it has become extremely laggy in loading content on YouTube and Udemy which I can't put up with.

I've tried removing all my add ones and removing all my browsing history and cookies but it didn't help at all and I finally switched to Chrome like all my friends. I feel very disappointed in Apple for this because Safari was supposedly more battery and memory efficient on Mac.

Anyone having the same issue here?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2016), macOS Mojave (10.14)

Hi.

Are you using an ad blocker or some other extension?

If so, with Safari open, go to Preferences>Extensions> and turn them all off.

Quit Safari and restart your computer.

Then go to Youtube and see if it's working better.

You can then decide to add each extension back one at a time and see if you will find the one that could be slowing your Mac down.
