How do I sync itunes between my MacBook Pro and my MacBook Air?

How do I sync my Itunes Library in my old MacBook Pro to my recently acquired MacBook Air?

I have playlists and songs that I downloaded using CDs in my old Mac. I would like to have the playlists and CD music in my new MAC.

Help with an easy solution?

Thank you!

Here are three easy ways. Copy the entire /Home/Music/ folder to an external drive. Connect the drive to the new computer and copy the content of the folder to your new drive.

If both computers support Thunderbolt then connect them by Thunderbolt cable. Boot the new computer normally. Boot the old computer using Target Disk Mode. Transfer the content of the /Home/Music/ folder from the old computer to the new one.

If you have a local network then connect both computers to the network. Turn on File Sharing for the old computer to access and transfer from the old computer to the new one.
