If still unresolved then your device will need to be serviced.

Yes! This is super frustrating on Apple’s part! Not only is this my SECOND time experiencing this issue, but the fact they just don’t care about it and are almost forcing you to upgrade. Even before this last update, my camera app has been almost non-functional and now I’ve had other issues after the update. I know Android isn’t perfect, but at least going to it I’d have more options for “default” apps if others start breaking and with ROMs you can easily just install a different one to verify a hardware issue like this.

Same thing here - microphone suddenly died on my 1.5 year old phone. Apples only solution is to buy a new one. That this company feels it’s acceptable for a $600 phone to last only 1.5 years is insanity. “You can buy a new one.” Great. So that the next one can crash in no time and I’m back to buying ANOTHER new one. Planned obsolescence is alive and well, I’m afraid.

I had a similar issue , where no audio device is found in ihole 7 32 gb. This happen after the update of 12 iOS and of course this is done intentionally by apple so that customer are forced to buy new phone.

I wasted my half a day at apple store to solve my problem and figure out this.

Apple run out of ideas to introduce into the new phones which attract ,new and exisiting customers to buy new iPhones. Instead they are starting to do these dodgy practices to sell new phones.

I believe there will be a downtime coming soon for apple so as that happen to Nokia. I am as much disappointed with apple as all the other folks are here.

Have same issue with my iPhone 7 and I totally agree that the issue is related to certain software update and Apple should acknowledge and fix this issue. Maybe some lawyers are reading this forum and can start class action lawsuit as that seams to be only way we can get Apple’s attention. They are not listing to their customers anymore.

If someone comes on here and says that they're a third-party shop and they can fix it, think twice. If this was such a common problem, don't you think Apple would have reached out to everyone that owns an iPhone 7 / 7+ and recalled the devices for a massive design defect? If the manufacturer can't fix it, then how can some measly third-party shop do it? Exactly.

This has to be a software issue, 100% not an issue with several pads under the audio codec chip on the logic board that are poorly adhered and tend to break. It's clearly not that. All of these many, many people saying that this is repairable don't know the first thing about phone repair. iPhone logic boards are not serviceable. No matter what YouTube tells you, you can't fix this problem in about an hour.

This reminds me of all the people claiming "oh yeah, the charging port just plugs in". It's soldered to the board idiots, ask Apple.

I have a iPhone 7 Plus all 3 mics and speakers don’t work only can make calls if using Bluetooth headset, I can’t hear when I record on anything I just bought this phone and I don’t know why it’s not working like it should and I’m very upset and I tried resetting it and it still won’t work, I have school, work and all types of things and I need my phone to work

This has happened to me as well. Apple tried telling me it was a hardware issue and I would have to pay $300+ for it to be fixed. It isn’t a hardware issue because at one point I restarted my phone so many times that it finally started working again but only for half of a day. If it was a hardware issue, it wouldn’t work randomly and it wouldn’t have just happened after the update. I love Apple and always have but this is ridiculous and it needs to be fixed ASAP. I rely on my phone. I have 2 kids in school and a phone is absolutely essential. Thoroughly disappointed.
