Macbook to CRT TV

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012) and I'm looking to use my old CRT TV / VCR combo as a display monitor. When fully connected, I'm not getting any visual on my CRT TV. My signal chain currently is…

(Laptop)
Mini Display to VGA (adaptor)
VGA to HDMI convertor (adaptor)
HDMI to RCA convertor (cables)
(TV's Video and Audio inputs)
