Finder recents does not show recently downloaded files

Hi,

I'm downloading quite often PDF files with Google Chrome, which I'm trying to attach to a mail in Microsoft Outlook.

As I have a folder structure for the PDF Files (one folder per contractor), I'm saving my downloaded PDF files in my folder structure and do not store them in "downloads" folder right away.

When I'm trying to attach the files, they do not show up in "Recents" in finder. Any chance to add them here?

Otherwise I'm afraid I have to work with a smart folder.
