Is there a way to keep my Apple Watch from water locking when I begin a swim workout?

I have a catalyst watch band for my Apple watch and I want to know if there is a way to take the automatic water lock off because every time I go swimming it is a pain to turn the Digital Crown with this band, it is very difficult. I rather just not have it water lock, is this possible?
