WiFi auto-join not working

Since the latest iOS update, the WiFi “forget this network” option has disappeared. It now gives you the option to untick “auto-join,” however when I attempt to do this, it does not keep. I connect automatically to xfinity WiFi networks when I’m out and about, and I would prefer not to connect to these. I’ve unticked the auto-join option multiple times. Is this bug being addressed? Or is there another way around this issue without turning WiFi off completely?

Hello Ryanf22,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that there's no option to forget a Wi-Fi network and disabling Auto-Join isn't working as expected after recently updating your device. I'm happy to help.

If you haven't already, restart your device. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, reinstall iOS with iTunes. This step can resolve possible software issues. When reinstalling iOS, iTunes will completely remove your current software and install a fresh version. While iTunes will try to do this without removing data, it's a good idea to make sure you have a recent backup before trying this step.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Use the steps in the link below to reinstall iOS with iTunes:

Have a wonderful day!
