Since upgrading my iMAC to MACos Mojave 10.14, I have received numerous request to purchase Advanced MAC Tuneup. This software scans my MAC and says I have 521 issues. My MAC is about 5 years old and I have noticed a considerable slowdown lately and maybe a good cleanup is needed. Is this software recommended by the Apple community?

There's a good chance that EtreCheck (that rkaufmann87 has suggested that you try) will locate and offer to remove the malware/adware that is causing these popups.

Mac OS does not benefit by ANY cleaning, antivirus, or other third party "maintenance" apps. If you are having a problem, your best bet is to do the following:
