hi, today at school I was required to download some software onto my laptop. During so, the teacher literally had the option on her screen to lock down my computer so I could do nothing on it, just stare at a blank screen, or use just the learning app. What is this and how do i stop it?

Might want to contemplate what you’ll do after a potential expulsion here too, as some schools have no sense of humor around attempts to disable or defeat school systems and security, or interfering with teachers’ activities.
Probably a school policy to allow teachers to lock/block access to prevent students from misusing the computers and network. If you want to bypass this policy just tell your teacher. Don't expect good results.
