Charge and Listen to iPhone

When on a long (8-12 hour) flight, I like to listen to music on my iPhone 6 with my noise cancelling headphones or noise cancelling earbuds (with a 3.5mm jack). When the phone needs charging, I merely plug in the charger, no problem. I would like to upgrade my phone, but without the 3.5mm jack, I lose that ability in the new iPhones. The 3.5mm adapter uses the power port. The port splitter and a 3.5mm adapter is an unsatisfactory, awkward answer, since I usually keep the phone in my pants cargo pocket or shirt pocket. Wireless earbuds also need to be charged periodically and are often not noise canceling. Why would Apple eliminate the 3.5mm port? Am I stuck with changing to an Android phone?

Thanks. I hadn't found the Rockstar. It would certainly work if I really, really want to stay with iPhone (my preference, but I am not fanatical about it), but every alternative still has the phone, then the adapter, then the headset. When I am lying down and not charging the phone, the adaptor will still be sticking out of my pocket, vs just the wire. Still awkward, and uncomfortable if I role over. A 3.5mm port on the phone itself is an easy fix. I may be in the minority, but I still believe removing the 3.5mm port was a dumb move. Apple should add the port to one of their models as an alternative. They might sell fewer wireless earbuds, but maybe they would sell more phones.
