Iphone 7 keeps freezing after latest update 12.0., even I’ve done the restart method.. apps are up to date

There are two restarts, the normal off/on and a Forced Restart, try the latter if you haven’t already.

You could try and narrow down what triggers the “freeze”, does it happen after using a certain App, if so, delete and reinstall to see if it fixes.
It might have something to do with the iOS itself, was it done OTA, if so you could try reinstalling using Recovery Mode and iTunes, this allows you to still use “Update” which just replaces the OS leaving your existing data and Apps alone.

You could also try “Reset All Settings” from your device, this doesn’t remove content but puts your settings back to default.
