Logic Pro X 10.4.2 normalize automatically

Hello,

Since I updated to 10.4.2 Logic runs normalization automatically on my recorded audio when I stop recording. Why is it doing this and how can I turn this off? Logic never did this in previous versions.

normalization settings I have a single file with only my voice on it. I have gone into normalisation Function settings in the Editor window and set a peak value of -1.5dB But when I then bounce and normalise, I'm getting transients that are going as high as -0.1dB. What am I doing wrong, please?

Yeah, this is exactly what's happening.

The thing is, after a 4-5 hour 48 track recording; it's spinning wheel and force-quit time. Not even ⌘ + . responds after any amount of time.

In Logic's preferences.... are ALL the advances tools enabled.
