32-bit files invisible in Library

The support article at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208436 instructed me to check the 32-bit apps in About this Mac, System Report, Applications.

There are two files in Library that are 32-bit and I don't think I need.

It says:

InkServer:

Version: 10,9

Obtained from: Apple

Last Modified: 21/08/2018, 01:10

Kind: Intel

64-Bit (Intel): No

Signed by: Software Signing, Apple Code Signing Certification Authority, Apple Root CA

Location: /System/Library/Input Methods/InkServer.app

Get Info String: 10.9, Copyright 2012 Apple Inc.

But it is not there! Also through the terminal when I go

cd /Library/Input\ Methods

the result of ls -a is just:

. ..

Same goes for quicklookd32:

Version: 5,0

Obtained from: Apple

Last Modified: 21/08/2018, 05:04

Kind: Intel

64-Bit (Intel): No

Signed by: Software Signing, Apple Code Signing Certification Authority, Apple Root CA

Location: /System/Library/Frameworks/QuickLook.framework/Versions/A/Resources/quicklookd3 2.app

Get Info String: 5.0, Copyright Apple Inc. 2007-2013

with a list of files and nothing in this part of the alphabetical listing:

ProMetadataSupport.framework

Qmaster.framework

RIM_VSP.framework

I look forward to your advice!

They are both where indicated which is not where you looked. They are Apple apps which will eventually be updated. You only have to worry about third-party 32-bit apps which you need to work in the future. If you need them, then you need to find a replacement or update.

There is no call to purge your system of every 32-bit app.
