iPhone 8 camera not working

The camera on my iPhone 8 has suddenly stopped working. It freezes when I try to take a picture or the screen is completely black or the subject is very very blurry. It works when I reverse the focus to take a selfie. I recently updated to iOS 12.0.1. I have tried a hard restart, cleared the RAM, cleared the cache, and it is still not working. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

It sounds like you're having some trouble with the rear-facing camera. I'll be happy to help out.
