Adding Fonts from Font app to Pages app

My computer was deleted twice to solve computer problems but now I have different other problems. I love Apple Chancery font, which is in my Font App but doesn't come up in my Pages app. How do I take fonts from the Font application and add them to the Pages 7.2 application? I'm an old lady that knows what I've learned over the years but not how to fix these problems I have now.

The Apple Chancery font is installed by the operating system (including High Sierra and Mojave) in standard font collection search locations. In my Pages v7.2 on Mojave, the Apple Chancery font does not appear in the expected alphabetic location on the Pages font menu, but all the way to the bottom after Zapfino. On High Sierra, again with Pages v7.2, Apple Chancery is sorted properly in the Pages font menu.

Other than activating or deactivating fonts, Font Book has nothing to do with adding fonts to Pages.

I've been having I am running High Sierra 10.13.6

Apple Chancery is in the Font book and is enabled.

Apple Chancery is not in Pages Font or TextEdit. The only Apple listed is in both are Apple Symbols. None of the others are there alphabetically or under Zapfino.

I've never used TextEdit and everything I do is on Pages. When I tried to put a Pages article in TextEdit, it said:

"The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format."

I've been having these types of problems since the last time mac deleted my computer. I have missing files, but the folders are there. Stuff like that.

Sorry, I replied but don't know where it went.

I'm running High Sierra 10.13.6

Apple Chancery Is not In TextEdit or Pages. It is in my Fonts book.

I had never used to TextEdit, so when I checked it, It wouldn't accept my Pages files. It said,

"The file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format."

Everything I write is in Pages. I've been having problems like this since the last time they deleted my MacBook. Ex. I have missing files, even though the folder is there.
