Mojave installation problem

When I try to install 10.14.1 today, I followed the instructions as per the App Store and got the following when I clicked onto my hard drive to install "This disk is used for Time Machine backups". There are no other disks attached to my iMac, late 2017 Retina 5K 4.2Ghz. I am currently running 10.13.6.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017), macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

no available disc option to install macos I'm trying to upgrade from High Sierra to Mojave. I downloaded Mojave no problem but I can't get it to install. I go through the install screens and I am only given one disk option to select to install macos. When I click on the disk it states "This disk is used for Time Machine backups". So I'm stuck. unable to complete Mojave install Have a top of the line 2014 iMac that cannot finish installing Mojave. Down loads fine, but when asked to click on the drive where it will be installed, the button to "install" is not active (ie grayed out) after selecting install and agreeing to terms. When I scroll over the Macintosh HD icon it says this "disk is used for Time Machine backups" Weird since it is backed up to multiple external drives. I have plenty of room on HD, and Mojave is compatible with 2014 iMac. Tried deleting the download and then downloading again as well as force quitting the install mojave app, and rebooting. Had no problems on my 2 laptops. I also tried turning off time machine automatic back ups. Any ideas?

Help please! I am unable to download Mojave as I can't install it to either of my disks. I am attempting to install Mojave on my 2016 Macbook Pro, but I can't choose either of my disks to install it on. I want to install it on Macintosh HD, but when I click on that drive, I get a message saying that this disk is used for Time Machine backups. I have never used this disk for backups - all backups are stored on my external hard drive. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?Thankyou
