Why does my homepod randomly play music. I have upgraded to the latest software and updatred the settings to home users only but the problem still persists
Either it has responded to sound in the environment and interpreted that as a request, or your AirPlay settings are allowing others to try to control it. See Change settings for HomePod - Apple Support. "Everyone" should be reserved for parties.

Well it was Halloween yesterday. 👿
I know I've occasionally spooked my wife unintentionally by tapping the Homepod in my Home app when I'm not at home, which can unpause whatever it was playing last. 😮 Silly feature if you ask me.

I have changed to include a password for Airplay but unfortunately still seem to have an issue with random playing when the house is silent.
I give up nothing seems to work, I’ve reset the homepod, changed the settings as suggested, compared the settings with a friend. It’s going back!!
