xs max screen protector +otterbox case

got my new xs max 2 weeks ago. i had the screen protector fitted instore and got the otter box case as well...

total protection or so i thought .

yesterday my phone slipped out my hand , . it only fell about a foot or so to the ground, later that day i noticed a small chip right on the edge of screen protector, this had resulted in a few small hairline cracks to appear in the invisiglass cover,

also the clear back of the otter box case is full of scratches, the write up says its a scratch free back. these have come about from putting it on hard surfaces like tables or plastic trim in car.
