update old ipad

Hi can anyone help with guidance on how to update IOS on an older iPad? I've followed Apple online help advice, but doesn't work. I connect iPad to iTunes, select my device and there should be a "Summary" option under which the update can be undertaken. I don't see the "Summary" option. Guidance welcome! Thanks.

If it's an iPad 2 or 3, or a Mini 1 (Identify your iPad model - Apple Support), iOS 9.3.5 is the highest version that it supports.
