Hi avekril,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're seeing an error when you're trying to update an app using the App Store on your Mac. I know it's important to keep your installed applications up-to-date; I'd like to help. First, if you haven't already, use these steps to quit the App Store and restart your Mac, then try to update again: How to force an app to quit on your Mac

If you continue to have trouble, use the steps here to start your Mac in safe mode: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

In safe mode test to see if you're able to successfully update the application; if so, restart your Mac normally and continue to use as normal.

Let me know if you're unable to update the application after restarting or using safe mode.

Best Regards.

I got the same problem after updating to MacOS Mojave 10.14.1. got the error:

MZFinance.DownloadProductRequestParseError_message

When I went to the Launchpad, I observed that apple products “Pages“, “Numbers“ and “Keynote“ are shown as if in a state of pause for a download.

I accessed the “Store“ menu, and “Reload the Page“ and the paused items appeared (I never paused them).

I then clicked on Update (for each APP (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) ). The apps started downloading.

Problem Solved.
