Apple TV not authorized to play content

I’ve read a few comments about this and cannot seem to find a solution. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Please specify your model Apple TV. Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

Please specify the service (app) you are using, when this error occurs.

Please specify if you use the service through AirPlay, or directly on the Apple TV.


Such error might occur if Apple’s system for authorization is temporarily down. Keep an eye on their System Status, when it happens. Rare, but not unheard of.
