Turn on Live Photos - Greyed Out
Hi,
Does anyone know how to turn on Live Photo's in Photos on Mac OS Mojave 10.14?
I have the option under Image > Turn on Live Photo in the toolbar but it is greyed out.

The option "Turn on Live Photo" will be available, if you have a Live Photo selected, where the Live Effect has been turned off. This will allow you to revert back to the Live Effect.
Did you transfer Live Photos to your Mac, that cannot be animated? If you transfer your iPhone Photos with My Photo Stream, they are only transferred as still frames and not as Live Photos.
Hi Léonie,
Thanks for the response.
All my photo's have been imported via My Photo Stream so that is the problem.
I can't remember when I last plugged my phone into the computer! I wonder if it will overwrite existing images or duplicate, I guess I'll find out.
Thanks again!
You may need to remove the still frames for the partially imported Live Photos from the Photos Library on the Mac, if the Live Photos will still not allow to be animated. photos may not be able to pair the still frame and the video component on import, if there is already a still frame in your library.
