iTunes Song I purchased no longer available

Some of the songs I purchased in the iTunes store no longer appear available to download. The album is there but now it says "remastered" and in order to download the songs it looks like I need to re-purchase the song. If this is the case then this is definitely a huge rip-off. The only way I could find the song was in my PC's iTunes library. Can someone shed some light on this please?

If it's not showing for redownloading : Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books from the App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Books - Apple Support

and if you haven't hidden it from there : Hide and unhide music, movies, TV shows, audiobooks, and books - Apple Support

it's likely that the content provider/rights-holder has removed it from the store (or have you moved countries ?) - the store isn't a backup (obviously any item can be removed from the store at any time), you are only guaranteed one download of any item.
