Problem connecting Brother printer

I have a brother MFC-J6720DW printer and my Mac cannot find it. I have reset all printers on my Mac, I have put the IP address of the printer into my Mac after downloading the Brother driver software and it still states unable to verify printer on your network. I have reset my printer too and no matter what I do the MacBook Air cannot find it. It is so infuriating as it used to work ok before. Any suggestions on what I am

doing wrong?!

Did you change anything?

Operating system version?

Your network? New router? WiFi extender?

Moved the printer to a new location in you home?

Is the printer Ethernet or WiFi connected?

Did you Mac connect to your home network, or a neighbors, or to maybe your ISP's public network, such as Xfinity public hotspot?

If you use something like Bonjour Browser, can you see your printer being advertized?
