How do I remove Linkey from iMac?

I have tried all the researched solutions but still cannot get rid of this Linkey search hijacker.

1 Removed Safari extensions (there were none).

2 Removed all website data (they reappeared after quitting and reopening Safari.

3 Started Safari with Shift button depressed after removing history.

4 Downloaded and ran Malwarebytes app but did not remove Linkey.

5 Tried to find it in applications folder, could not.

Please help me get rid of this please.

Thanks,

Patrick

1. Click  in the menu bar and choose “Force Quit”.

In the window that opens up, select “Safari” and click “Force Quit.

2. Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

Additional steps if needed:

You won’t have internet connection.

Turn on Wifi. Click Wifi icon in the menu bar and select “Turn Wifi on”.

4. Click Safari in the Safari menu bar and choose “Clear History”.

Select an appropriate time frame.

5. If this doesn’t help, use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac to remove malware.

I have tried all these steps as well as removing website data from the Safari privacy settings. None of this works.

Sorry about the link Had no idea it was broken. I should have checked. If you do a Google search, you will see that there are many solutions to remove Linkey. I suspect you have already tried most of them.

Yes if you have a backup. If not, you have no other choice but to reinstall the OS.
