Hi i would like to know if any had the experience conecting the USB-C new mac's to Thunderbolt display 1, it seems the adaptor works, but what about the mag safe power cord? the energy. don't you need it to connect the display.
Can anybody tell me a bout the configuration and if any problems with thunderbolt display 1

I think he was asking if there is a replacement cord for his new MacBook Pro that works with the Thunderbolt Display? The cord on the back of the Display has power plus Thunderbolt. Is there an adapter to use the power, too? Thx
That was also a doubt, I was not sure if to power had to go throught the computer or could power independently. But now what I would love to know if the cord can be changed to adapt fully to the new macs. :-)

It will provide 60 watts to a MacBook Pro from a Thunderbolt display. Unlikely to work with the new Mac Mini.
The MagSafe cord is for powering a laptop. It is not needed to run the display. The display has its own AC power input.

I will share when i get it what solution I took . To connectet it and if it works ok.
I believe that there is an adapter for the Magsafe.
