Hub Usb 3.0 Issue + Mojave

Please I need any help with this.

Using my MacBook Pro Retina Early 2013, and after installing MacOS Mojave, the usb 3.0 Hub that I was using stop working.

It's the Kingwin USB 3.0 Hub 6 Port, 1 Smart Charging and 1 Gigabit Ethernet (KWZ-EC7). ( all the plugs are the same i was using, anything changed, just the updated , was automatically )

I already talked to apple support assuming that with Mojave there where issues with usb 3.0 Hubs, and that there where no answer yet. But I really need to keep on working with my usb hub.

The System Report is showing me this info:

Anyone can help me please? It's really important for me.

At least as of November 2, Apple has no answer for this.

I"m running 10.14.1.

I use(d) my MacBook Pro 13" for my work, in which I have offices in 2 different cities. Our work is on a Cloud Portal (and is Windows-based), so it's easily accessible from wherever we are. The catch is that I need to hook up peripherals (scanner, external webcam, local printer) and to be hardwired via Ethernet. When setting up my offices, I wanted everything to be identical, right down to the external monitors, keyboard and mouse. Based on reviews that I saw on the various boards, I opted for the Kingwin Hub.

Because the portal is Windows-based, and because the tech firm who manages the Portal is a Windows-tech group, I would launch the MacBook and then switch to Parallels for Windows and work from the Windows platform. This, I found, was the only way that I could connect to both Ethernet and our networked printers - when I would access from the Mac side, Ethernet was shoddy and no network printer access. Bizarre.

Whenever I'd have a problem, the tech support for the portal firm was of no use because they don't understand Macs, but I'd usually be able to find a work-around when I'd have an issue. Anyway, this worked really well for a year and a half.

For whatever reason, I elected to upgrade to Mojave at the end of October. Suddenly, the hub lost connectivity and, most importantly, with the Hub not being recognized, I lost the ability to connect via Ethernet. This is a problem for major document production as I need the office printers for that.

After scouring the various tech sites for fixes, none of which would work, I decided to call Apple Support. To their credit, the three different support persons with whom I spoke at different times, were bright, understanding, very apologetic and as helpful as they could be. I can say nothing bad about them. They understood my problem and how this was for work and that I needed a solution. Finally, the last tech person with whom I spoke told me that he was very sorry but that there was no fix as of yet, and maybe if I could hold out for the next Mojave upgrade, it would work. I said that I couldn't do that as I needed to function for work.

I had to do something, so since this is really for just legal stuff and not high end graphics or gaming, so I went like my work partners and got a Surface.

Breaks my heart to had to have done that, but I had no other options.

The sad thing is that, when you go and research this issue, you'll see that Hub and Ethernet connectivity has been a problem for Apple for over 10 years.

Hoping that they fix this soon, because, as our home desktop is about 8 years old, I figure that I can transition the MacBook into our home computer.

I have the same very slow boot with a different USB 3 hub: It is "Maplin N68KH Attractive Compact White Portable 4 Port USB 3.0 Hub"

Spent several hours before the solution emerged. There seems to be no speed impairment of the 5k iMac (late 2015) once it has booted.

I'm disinclined to go back to Hi Sierra to check that the problem disappears!

Hopefully someone will find which processes cause the problem? My main knowledge is from Windows PCs.....
