Not a question, just wanted to put in here a solution to a problem. If your sound on your Mac stops working, and none of the obvious signs are there, try opening the terminal window (Applications > Utilities > Terminal) and type in "sudo killall coreaudiod". It resets coreaudiod, which is what runs the audio I guess. I'm no tech wizard, I'm just an art student, but I know that it took me an hour to find the right answer to my problem and wanted to help others avoid it. Anyways, after you input the command into the terminal window, it'll ask for the administrative password. That's the password to the computer, if you're like me and didn't originally know that. It won't show that you're typing as you input it, but it registers the keystrokes and once you finish typing hit "return". If you type it wrong it will say "Sorry try again" and ask for the password again. Once you type it right, it'll pop up with the name of your computer and your user name. Try your audio again then, and if that didn't fix it then I would suggest just searching your problem online or calling a tech-savvy friend. Apple Support rarely helps with the issues I have, but that might just be me.
