Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Two homepods at different firmware versions - the 'older' one (11.4) will not update in the home app.

My first homepod is already running firmware version 12.1. Now I bought a new homepod which came with firmware 11.4. When I check for a software update in the iOS home app it tells me that my homepod software is up to date. Which is only true for one of the two. Can I somehow force the update for the other one? Thanks!!

Try powering down the HomePod running 12.1, then try again. See Update HomePod - Apple Support.
