If I delete photos from my camera roll, will it delete them from any shared albums they are also in?

I know that if I delete photos from my camera roll, it removes them from my photo stream and iCloud but does it remove them from the shared folders? I want to keep them in the shared but don't need them on my camera roll anymore.

iPad, iOS 5.1, Model MC497B

Hello London_user,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you want to be able to delete pictures from the Camera Roll in the Photos app on your iOS device, but these pictures are also in Shared Albums. The good news is pictures in Shared Albums will not be affected if you delete them from the Camera Roll, and here is more about Shared Albums:
