With the new update (70 new emojis?) I expected Apple to finally give us the yellow rubber duck emoji. Why is this still not a thing? It is an extremely important part of pop culture, not to mention coding culture (see rubber duck debugging or rubber ducking).
It is as if there is some underlying reason that Apple refuses to share for not implementing the rubber duck emoji, while completely obscure ones make it through with every update.
What gives, Apple?
Apple does not give you emojis. They are compiled by the Unicode Consortium, and then device manufacturers decide whether or not to provide support for them. If you wish to see a rubber duck, then provide that information to the Unicode Consortium. http://www.unicode.org/emoji/selection.html
