iphotos to show photos saved on time machine

Hi community, I have recently gone through a big clean up of my MacBook Air to create some more storage space. In this process I moved all my photos to my time machine to use it like an external hard drive. Question.... is there any way to use iphotos to view the photo files I now have saved on my time machine?

i tried to create a new library for iphotos to open but it won’t show my time machine as a device.
