Apple pencil Gen 1 discontinued or not?

So i recently bought a iPad pro 12,9 inch 515GB, With that i also took the Apple Pencil. Now iknow there is a new iPad gen also a pencil. So my question is: Will the first gen Apple pencil still being made and sold on the market for the coming few years? Or will it be discontinued since the gen 2 is out. I'm asking this because Apple still sell them both and they where expensive enough would be so dissapointed if they stop making them. What if mine wears out over time? What if thats about 2 years or so? Are they gonna force me to buy a new iPad device with their new Pencil that isn't even working with the older versions? Would be a shame so i hope someone can anwser this.

Thanks!

As long as the iPads that work with the 1st Gen Apple Pencil are available, then I would tend to believe the 1st Gen pencil will be available. At this time, the 2nd Gen Pencil will not work with the iPads that work with the 1st Gen, and the 1st Gen Pencil will not work with the latest iPad Pro.

However, since we are users like you, and Apple has made no announcements, we will have to wait and see what Apple has to say about availability.
