That is the ****** part of Apple. From my observations, this issue is probably from Apple rather than from users. So far in the thread, none of the people on apple side say anything about if they tried to reproduce the issue themselves on a macbook air.

I definitely remember that thermal issue. I am just complaining that even as a customer, I tried to contact my friends who bought this model to find out if this is universal. People who at least have stronger bonds to Apple always assume the fault is on customers' side. If I live close to an apple store, I would definitely go there and try all the MacBook Air on display to make real apple staff aware of this issue, but unfortunately this is not the case.

It is disappointing especially on the MacBook Air which is meant for a way wider range of people compared to the i9 MBP (mine is over $5000 so is a little restricted on how many people have it).

I asked on different apple services no one could help me. I'm thinking about return it.

I also compare the laptop camera side by side with other macbooks. All have best camera than mine.

I am having the same problems and I took it into a best buy and they didn't know about this yet. They pretty much told me that I should return it because it was bad quality. I was going to do this anyways, but they had no solution.

I'm going through the same nonsense right now, I have my mid-2012 MBP sitting next to my 2018 MBA and the Facetime cam quilty is ridiculous. My 2012 MBP is crystal clear with no grain or snow, my 2018 MB Air looks like a 480 P cam all snowy and grainy. I'm very disappointed...I wish there was a quick fix,

I agree, this is rubbish and unacceptable. I hope they can fix this via software update, otherwise I know that even though I don't use the camera often, I am not buying any new Apple products in the near future.

Has Apple acknowledged this issue at all? Is anyone aware of their position on this matter? I’ve never dealt with a problem like this with an Apple product- what is the best way to engage the company to push for a resolution??

But, is possible that with a new update, those problems with devices, including MBP (because today I was testing it cameras in a apple store), will have a solution?.. I don't know but I still have a little bit of hope.

Tomorrow I'm gonna go to the apple support, for some solution, if no there are, maybe I will return it.

Hello Chris. Since you were the last person from Apple in this topic, could you please comment on it a bit more? Is Apple aware of the issue? Admits? Is there any chance to expect the fix - or should we just stop complaining and take our Airs as they are (or return for refund or upgrade to Pros)? For people who purchased them recently the clock it ticking, we should make decision before it is too late for refund/replacement. Thank you for any information.

I don't believe how cyber people (youtubers, journalists, etc), has not been able to test the camera of this device. I can´t find any web that talk about this, the only thing that i found is the same problem with the first evolution of Macbook's Pro, but was fixed (i guess).. So, we need to make apple people know about this, adn make this problem a huge thing.

Let me know how are you feel with the new terminal. Yesterday i tested all the MBP and the only one that has a good camera, is the MPB 15 inch with touchbar.. Non better than the Macbook Air 2015..
