I just bought the new MacBook Air, noted that the HD camera is so blurry. The photo that captured using this MacBook turns out to be worse than my iPhone 7 front camera. Anyone facing the same problem?

Same here. I followed all the recommendations to fix it (trying different apps, users, utilities, etc), afterwards I called apple support and after 40min on the phone they told me that this specific computer was designed to have bad quality camera under non-natural light. They said it will only look good during day light and if I'm in a room with lots of natural light. Unbelievable! They said there's nothing they can do from their side to fix it because is not a software issue or a bug. Their only suggestion to "fix it" was that I only use the camera by day in a bright room, I'm speechless!
Unfortunately I can't return the computer because it has been a month since I bought it, but if you are still on time to return it I highly recommend to do so since apple doesn't have any solution and apparently they are not willing to do anything to compensate this fault.
Shame on apple! After 20 years of using mac I'm planning to leave it once and for all.

Unfortunately I'm having the same issue with my brand new MacBook Air. it is really blurry and has a bad quality.
Did you find a solution for this? Will apple take care if it?

I have the same problem and I purchased 2 MacBook airs!
I didn't expect Apple responding on this forum. What I meant is that they haven't publicly acknowledge this situation, leaving all of us wondering what should we do.
Ruskes, can you see the technical difference between these 2 pictures? Can you guess which one was taken with the new Air? Look at the walls, you'll get the idea what color noise is.
These are silly responses. Side by side with an old MBA , under the exact same conditions, the new one is obviously inferior, by a lot. Apple needs to provide a solution.
Both images are made with the same imperfect conditions. Just two laptops were on my table.
I used 10.14.1 on both macbooks (with whatever version of photobooth was there).
Both photobooth apps produced images 720p, so your comments about different resolution are irrelevant.

Make sure you'll get the previous generation of pro. The new ones with touchbar have almost the same awful camera quality.

Wonderful. So it’s supposed to be low quality and blurry, but it’s okay to advertise it as „sharp HD camera”. That’s just beautiful!
No, it doesn’t make any sense at all. Old MacBook Pros with retina had far superior cameras over new ones too.
You guys are just looking for excuses, while there are none.
2018 MacBook Air HD camera is in poor quality.
