Unistall ADBLOCK

Trying to uninstall Adblock extension from Safari preferences.

Will not let me move to trash, pop up window states it is open. I have closed everything I know to close. Any ideas what else to do?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Safari > Preferences > Extensions > select AdBlock from list > click on Uninstall button on the right.

Once you have located the file in Finder, try quitting Safari, and then try moving the file to the Trash. You can also try quitting Safari. Then go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library, then Safari/Extensions, and delete the file from there.
