How to get events from POP3 account onto iCalendar

My work email is a POP3 account and everyone in my company sends and receives event invites on their iCalendar using this account. How do they do it?! I can't figure out how to add this work calendar to my iCalendar.

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

cant invite myself in calender event with my work email to see it in my company exchange Hello the last couple of years I used to create an event in my private apple calender and invited myself with my company email. Since some weeks I realized I don’t get those emails as invitations in my company exchange (Microsoft office 365) anymore. I can invite my girlfriend (email) and she receives those mails with the apple calender invitation text. Like i used to get and still want. Is it because i have my company mail in my contacts card associated with my person? I deleted the company mail and created a new contact " my name company" with my company email with no success. Is there a better process to sync events with private calender events and microsoft 365 calender? Thank you swarm intelligence

when i send a calendar invite it is received as an email as opposed to calendar invite I have an iPhone, my husband has an android. When I create a calendar event and try to send it to him, it appears as an email as opposed to a calendar invite. He can send me calendar invites which I can accept, decline etc, that go directly on my calendar. Would like to be able to send invites that do the same

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you want to use your work account in the Calendar app on your MacBook Air. To help with this, make sure your work account is turned on for Calendar and here is more about the Calendar app:
