There was an error connecting to the server

I started getting this error message for an old Time Capsule, that used to be used as a time machine back up drive. I have reset Time Capsule, and renamed. The server error is the name of the old time capsule.

How can I get rid of error message?

What does this error message mean? My Time Machine back ups to my Time Capsule were stalling. I was told by Apple to solve my problem I should quick erase my Time Capsule, remove it, and select it again. Then do a new back up. I did all that. While it's running I have the Console open to catch any error messages. The back up is progressing fast enough and hasn't stalled yet. It's about 10% done. Error -6742 while access apple airport time capsule Hi, i am trying to access my airport time capsule after long time. i updated its firmware and all. But it still gives me this error. I tried to hard reset it but still no luck. Please help me, just want to access some photos. it is connected to main router. i have uploaded the error screenshot below. firmware its running is 7.9.1

Remove the now-departed Time Capsule from your list of backup devices in the list of backup targets within the Time Machine preferences panel, in System Preferences.
